Today was my 2nd day in Sarawak General Hospital. To be frank, I found it super boring in the hospital. I met my senior who had already graduated for 1 year in the general medicine ward and I thought he might bring me around and let me have my chance to try on those medical procedures. However I felt very disappointed with him as he appeared to be so indifferent. He was my senior, shouldn't he be a bit warm-hearted to his junior? Yet, I met another female senior who had graduated from Moscow. She wasn't my senior but she was more friendly. I hope if I could get my chance to learn something from her. Too bad that she'll be on leave for the next few days and will only be back on either tuesday or wednesday.
I just found out that there are lectures on every wednesday and thursday in the emergency department. So sad that I missed the "snake venom" lecture today. Sob sob... I just talked to my friend about snake bite yesterday. It is an interesting topic yet I missed the lecture. If only I know about their schedule earlier. I wonder if I could get the soft copy from the specialist who gave this lecture.
Well, tomorrow will be another new day for me. I wish if everything will be a lot better. I decided to change my plan. Instead of following those H.O who seem to be quite reluctant to even give me a glance, I want to follow the nurses and ask them to at least let me try on setting up an IV line, cannula or maybe blood taking.
